Nalotuesha - An Autobiography
There is pride and pertinence writing one’s own life story, and choosing in the memories this life has left us, those which seem to be worth keeping. Nalotuesha was born the same year as the slogan « sous les pavés de la plage » chanted under the Paris barricades. In fact of the beach, nature has interpellated her very early, for she climbed on trees staying there whole days, like the « Baron perché » from Italo Calvino.
Those heights were not enough, she therefore aimed distant outlands of high nature during her whole life. She therefore didn’ t surprise anyone by passing her pilot license at age 19, in secret, and later her hunting license. She has been admitted to St Gall university, where she studied economy and law during three years. She has a theatre decoration school diploma, she emerged herself in history of art studies, and speaks five languages. She got into marriage, has three wonderful children, lived in a tent in the Kenian bush for three years, where in consequence of what she built, out of a « fundi's » (worker's) hands and her own hands, a bush school, has given hygiene and nutrition lessons, first aid, because she has been trained by the Red Cross.
After her return from the african continent, she started putting in form her 12 travel diaries, which are not published yet. South Africa, Mozambic, Ethiopia, Gabon, Tanzania, Morocco, Tunisia, Ouganda, Venezuela, Borneo, China, Chile, Brazil, Norway, Sweden, Scotland, Indonesia, Paradise Island, Fregate Island, North Island, Bird island, Denis Island, Mustique, Pt St Vincent, îles sous le vent and Carribean Islands in general, Ceylan, Maldives, Trinidad carnival, St Barths, Los Roques Mauritius, Mopion Island, Australia, USA, dog sledging in Northern Canada, Russia, Mongolia horseback riding, India in public buses, european capitals or Cantal churches, are on her travel map. Being swiss and french, she settled down in Paris (Ora Ito’s famous flat became hers, with the girafe) and Geneva. She lives a total independant life, at the peak of all arty as well as societal avant garde scenes, and mostly immersed in nature.
Being fiercely free, stepping from the bush solitude to the London crazy arty shows, she goes alongside singers, spies, show biz figures, errant knights, bankers, weapon traders, designers, politicians, astrophysicians….She learned playing drums with Phil Collins’ son, Nicholas, and Alexandre Anthony, Richard Anthony’s son. She has been shot by Ellen Von Unwerth, and by a famous New York photographer. She is Thibaud de Montenach's muse, a french poet and writer, and Chrome Hearts kenian's inspiration. She has been solicited by Beretta to present a hunting collection. She inspired singers for two songs written for her. If a human's soul is defined by his acts, it’s a hudge wind of freedom which is narrated in her writings. Being in the Savana in the morning, and participating to a London art scene in the evening, she went alongside from contemporary artist Marc Quinn, Jaume Plensa, Tracey Eymin, to Gormley and Ora Ito. She is surrounded by a court of courtiers with viscious designs and sly reputations, moving surfaces as reptiles, and on the other hand, figures of absolute goodness, creatures sanctified by their straightness, absorbed with consciousness, invariable in their probity.
At the end of the day, she has brought back a lot of travel objets from her trips.
From her Mongolian expedition, in the Altai mountains, she brought back beautiful silk coats, quality cashmeres, Kazakh wallhangings, objects antiquing on black markets, and a whole panoply of horse tags, saddlecloths, silver and leather snaffle bits inlaided with semi precious stones.
May you all wonder, and wander in peace...
